New Releases - April 2016
Golden straw in colour. Lifted perfumed aromas of white peach and some lightly charred oak. Bready, yeasty aromas from the extended lees contact in French oak. On the palate, white peach fruit dominates; it is creamy, seamless and well-rounded. This wine can be enjoyed right now or allowed to develop complexity, with proper cellaring, for up to ten years.
2014 CABERNETS 96 / 100
Magnificent nose of ripe black fruits - especially blackberry. Hints of Christmas cake, dark fruits with subtle hints of violets (from the Petit Verdot) and cedar (from the Cabernet fruit - not the oak!). The palate is elegant with restrained power - this is a classy wine - stylish, long palate, seamless with lovely structure and balance. It will age for a long period and be one of the great vintages in years to come, I have little doubt.
