In a recent review of new releases by esteemed wine critic, Huon Hooke, Lake's Folly has achieved a 'Top Ranking' and 'Gold Ribbon' status for our current 2017 Chardonnay and 2016 Cabernets, with both wines scoring 95 Points out of 100.
Lake's Folly's 2017 Chardonnay has achieved #1 Ranking of Chardonnays reviewed from the Hunter's 2017 vintage, and our 2016 Cabernets Ranked 6th of 2016 vintage Cabernet blends Australia-wide.

"Deepish red/purple colour, not dark but bright with a very good hue. The bouquet is dominated by charred oak at this point, but there may be some coal-dust Hunter character there as well. There is bright red berry fruit in the centre and the wine is medium to full-bodied and very elegantly tailored. The tannins are fine and tight and balanced, the overall structure and flavour superbly cast and poised. This is one of the best young Folly cabernets I've tasted."

"Mid-yellow colour, with a nutty and toasty oak-tinged bouquet, the palate intense and vibrant, penetrating and bright with refreshing acidity cleansing the finish, which is very long and big on sweet, citrusy fruit flavours. A superb wine of formidable persistence."
