12 bottles x Lake's Folly 2021 Hill Block Shiraz 750ml
Made more in the traditional medium-bodied Hunter Valley ‘Burgundy style’ that reflects the season, the wine displays a blend of red cherry and blackcurrant fruits, with hints of white pepper.
The palate is soft and silky with fine tannins, and red fruits of cherries and plums. Classy, stylish French oak (we used large format, 495-litre puncheons for maturation) cradles the wine, which finishes long and flavoursome. Definitely more ‘feminine’ in style, compared with previous vintages, but so true to style of the great ‘Hunter Burgundies’ of yesteryear.
Very approachable, and easy to drink right now; however will age gracefully over, at least, the next eight to twelve years.
96 / 100 Points.
